The aim of the organisation:

  • coordinating and organising activities in connection with gerontology in Hungary;
  • to support gerontological education in our country, however, especially in our Faculty;
  • disseminating information on gerontology.

Tasks of the organisation:

  • information gathering: collection and dissemination of national gerontological publications;
  • organisation of conferences on gerontology;
  • introducing and implementing adult gerontological training;
  • exchange of information with other member organisations and our foreign partners;
  • promoting research in connection with gerontology in Hungary;
  • to disseminate the results of gerontological research in Hungary through the establishment of the journal Hungarian Gerontology.
