MSc in Complex Rehabilitation

The aim of the programme
The aim of the MSc in Complex Rehabilitation course is to train experts who will be able to effectively facilitate social inclusion of individuals and targeted communities / groups in health, social, educational and occupational rehabilitation after acquiring multi-disciplinary knowledge. In addition, they will be sufficiently prepared to assess, evaluate, represent and improve the outcomes from the rehabilitation activities.

 

Career opportunities
The experts in Complex Rehabilitation will be competent in all areas of health rehabilitation allowing coordination of services, patient management and activities of rehabilitation providers, supply development, measuring the effectiveness of rehabilitation, and performing research activities which contribute to high standards in practice. In other sectors of the complex rehabilitation including employment, education and social rehabilitation, the experts, beyond organizational and executive tasks can carry out the tasks of specific institutional management, project planning, implementation, monitoring and quality control. They can also carry out activities affecting any segment or entire field of the complex rehabilitation in the political and administrative sectors (ministries, local governments, other offices).

Duration of training, calendar of education

The duration of training is 2 years. The course starts at the beginning of September each year. All subjects are taught in lesson blocks that last from 1 to 4 weeks depending on the number of hours. Between blocks time is provided for individual revision with the use of the library and IT facilities.

 

Requirements

Language requirements: The courses are all held in English, therefore it is essential to speak and write English fluently.

The following documents have to be uploaded to the application form

  • Short curriculum vitae
  • Financial statement verifying that the applicant or his/her sponsor has adequate financial resources to cover the applicants tuition fees and living expenses for the whole course of his/her studies in Debrecen, Hungary
  • High school or college degree and transcript (officially translated into English)
  • Recent medical certificate of general health status
  • Vaccination report for Hepatitis B, Rose-rash (Rubeola), Mumps (Parotitis epidemica) and Measles (Morbilli)
  • Financial statement about the payment of the application fee
  • Copies of relevant pages of the passport
  • 4 recent photos

If the applicant meets the entry requirements the University will inform him/her about all necessary steps in due time.

Tuition fee
Registration fee: 150 USD (non refundable)
MSc in Public Health: 8,000 USD/year* (including students' handbooks, use of library and IT facilities)

* 6,000 USD/year for the graduates of the University of Debrecen, Hungary
